Brian has over 30 years of experience in intellectual property law. Prior to his return to private practice, Brian was Vice President & Associate General Counsel for Intellectual Property at BASF Corporation, where he managed BASF’s intellectual property operations in North America, including global patent services for BASF’s research and development centers in the US. In addition to managing patent preparation and prosecution, Brian was responsible for guiding and implementing BASF’s intellectual property strategy in North America, managing US intellectual property litigation, providing advice and support for significant transactions, and prior to BASF’s divestiture of Knoll, handling patent matters relating to pharmaceutical and biotechnology products. Prior to working at BASF, Brian was a senior counsel at Rohm & Haas and a patent attorney at Union Carbide. Brian has also worked in private practice in New York and Connecticut.
Brian is a registered patent attorney and a member of the New Jersey, New York, Connecticut and Pennsylvania bars. Brian has a B.S. in biology from Adelphi University, and a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.
